Accommodation

We have our own family-run self catering casa rural in the tiny village of Ullibarri Arrazua, in the countryside just outside the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz. This is where you'll be staying, giving you a chance to get away from everything and relax surrounded by nature. And we can give you free rides to and from Vitoria on request, including any visits to the supermarket to stock up on food and drink. The casa rural has plenty of space in the grounds to stroll around in the evening, have BBQs and eat outside as a group. Inside, there are double and twin en-suite rooms looking out onto the private gardens, and a kitchen where you could cook up group meals. The location of this house is perfect for exploring Basque country and making incursions into Castilla y Leon, Navarra and La Rioja.

The rooms are bright, airy and spacious, and they all have garden views. The garden is completely private, with secure entry from the road.
Feel free to stroll around the gardens and, if you're here at the right time of year, you're welcome to help yourself to the juicy cherries, plums and blackberries from the trees and plants! That is, if you're quick enough! Sarah has been known to strip an entire cherry tree of fruit in one sitting....

You can choose to eat inside in the dining room, or on the shady outside terrace where we also have a BBQ. After a day exploring, it's so relaxing to be able to come home, eat in the fresh air without hurry, and then just sit around chatting and listening to the birds singing.

If there are any rainy afternoons, we have a big dining room with a long table, and there's also a table in the kitchen so different groups can eat in different rooms if they prefer.
The casa rural is run by Juan's sister Maria, and she stocks the house with locally made cheeses and ciders. She'll also be on hand if you need anything like extra blankets (extremely unlikely in the Spanish summer!), pillows or anything else house related.
We're very lucky to have this beautiful place and look forward to sharing it with you!
